What is this?

For a quick video of what we are doing, co-santa Laura s’plains it at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGL-sj3d5Os

Bottom line, it’s up to us kids.  IF you really wanna help, you need to do something today!  Start today, not tomorrow.  Here are some of the ideas we came up with.  See what you can do, but start it TODAY, there is no time cause we want to prove to the adults who don’t think we can do it that they are wrong!

Main goal: To raise as much money as possible to help save Christmas for more families.

Here are the ideas we thought of the other night. We need you to do these or something you think of this week, or actually, start today.  We gotta be done by december 16th. Hurry.

All the money goes to the Marine Corps Toys for Tots, and the Salvation Army.   Checks should be made out to United Way, with the memo Kids Saving Christmas, and United Way will give both groups the money.  United Way’s address can be found here.

If you have questions, you can email us at santa@kidssavingchristmas.org

It’s up to us kids. If you do nothing, there will be a lot of kids and families who will not have the same happy holiday as you and I.  We got a lot, time to give a little. You gotta do something at your school on this week.

Post here what u r doing to share with everybody else. Tape it on your phone or something, put it on youtube and if u send us a link, we will link it here, on youtube and on fb.

We are the next generation. Adults, we will need your help, please don’t let us down.

You don’t know how much I’ve been inspired. i wish that i could be a representative from O.L.P.H. ,but you don’t need to be part of that to help. The basketball game was CRAZYY. i had a great time, and i hope to keep doing this.
    thank you ,

As a teacher at OLPH I can only say that this has been amazing. These students are creating a true frenzy. I have seen students rising up to this challenge and they KNOW they can reach this goal. Who are we to tell them they can’t? We can learn a lot from our kids.
Thank you to ALL my students!
    You are ALL appreciated!

I am 9 years old. I was at the basketball game at OLPH and the lighting of the tree. I heard about kids saving Christmas. I’m going to talk to my principal on Monday about it to see if I can bring kids saving Christmas to my school, Park Elementary, in Swanton, Ohio.
YOU CAN DO IT AND SO CAN ANYBODY ELSE! The more money, the more hearts.

I’m a student at UT in Dr. Thompson’s class and when she told us about this I was really touched. It’s really encouraging to hear that there are people who know what Christmas is really about and I think its so sweet what you guys are doing for kids out there! Good luck with everything, what you’re doing will really make a difference in kids’ lives!

i think it is wonderful that you students are taking time out of your day to organize this movement. it is rare to see such selflessness in the world today. you are truley an inspiration to me and i stand by your cause. it is wonderful to see that you guys are in the holiday spirit and want to share that same spirit with your community and those less fortunate. i am also a student at the university of toledo and to be honest with you i know i wouldnt be able to come up with a plan to raise money and save christmas as you did. i just want to say thank you and keep up the good work.
