Distribution Day - A note from Jackie

HI KIDS,
I WENT TO ERIE STREET MARKET TODAY FOR THE DISTRIBUTION.  WOW. I CAN’T TELL YOU HOW PROUD I AM OF ALL OF YOU THAT WERE THERE.

I SAW ALMOST AS MANY TEEN VOLUNTEERS AS I DID ADULTS.  I SAW YOU GUYS CARRYING BAGS, ESCORTING PEOPLE THROUGH THE LINES, AND HELPING PEOPLE OUT THE DOOR.

YOU ALL WERE SMILING AND LAUGHING AND TALKING TO THE OTHERS AROUND YOU.  PEOPLE COMMENTED TO ME HOW INCREDIBLE THE KIDS IN THIS COMMUNITY ARE.

I AM NOT SURE YOU ALL REALLY REALIZE HOW MUCH YOU HAVE DONE, AND ARE CONTINUING TO DO TO ENCOURAGE OTHERS AND TO BRING HOPE INTO PEOPLE’S LIVES.  KEEP GOING KIDS.  YOU HAVE MADE A DIFFERENCE IN OUR CITY AND IN OUR WORLD.

THANK YOU FOR SHOWING WHAT IT MEANS TO CARE ABOUT OTHERS!

LOVE,
   JACKIE FRISCH

From Jackie…

Hello kids, it’s Jackie Frisch.  I had to drop a line to let you all know how proud I am of each of you.

You have already accomplished so much and we have only just begun.  This is a time to have fun coming up ways to get together with other kids and raise money for people in need.

Who can come up with the best, craziest, and most successful ideas?  Talk to your teachers, parents, and your friends and keep going toward the goal of $150,000.  YEAH!  You can DO IT!

Keep posting your ideas and events and don’t forget to include photos and videos. If I hear about it in advance, I will try to come to your event too!

Love, Jackie

This Just In….

Last night at the lighting of the holiday lights at 1G was awe inspiring.   Mr. Kitson from United Way told Santa that 8 grand was raised this morning at the Mayor’s business breakfast.  With the $1700 plus the kids raised today, we have almost ten grand, raised in 1 day.

ONE DAY!

Here is Shaun From Fox Toledo’s Story

If you look at the list the kids suggested, one of the things was to get the mayor to shave his head, get taped to the wall, or get made into a Ice Cream Sundae.   We asked the mayor.  He has agreed that if the kids get their goal, the top kids who raised the most will be able to turn him into an ice cream sundae.

Jackie Frisch has more faith in kids than anyone I have ever met.  She did a remarkable job inspiring, loving and beleiving in the kids.  She Rocks.

WOW

Co-Santas John and Matt share their event info.

These two kids, the ones that helped start this whole thing, who arranged the basketball game today at OLPH,who got the entire school involved, they raised $1500 today.

We will have pictures and videos of the events up shortly.

That is 1% of the shortage. Just by two kids effort. Amen.

“The Grinch may have stole Christmas, but we’re saving it.”

Note:  All of these videos are written by the kids!
